Project No. BGAG 7600100612

Status:

completed 09/2003

Aims:

Tripping, slipping and falling accidents have a wide range of causes. The objective of the project was to develop a comprehensive model in the context of the "On The Right Foot" campaign for consideration of these various causes. Extensive prevention measures may then be identified on the basis of the model.

Activities/Methods:

A literature survey was performed on the subject of tripping, slipping and falling accidents. A model of the causes of such accidents was developed from the results. Technical, organizational and personal causes of accidents are presented, and results of studies into tripping, slipping and falling accidents described.
